Kimi Antonelli has received strong fan backing to win the 2026 British Grand Prix after securing pole position at Silverstone.
The Italian driver will start the race from the front after claiming his fifth pole position of the season. That qualifying result puts him in the strongest position to extend his championship lead.
Antonelli beat the two Ferrari drivers, Charles Leclerc and Lewis Hamilton, to the top spot. With both red cars starting directly behind him, the opening phase remains one of the key pressure points of the race.

According to RacingNews365's post-qualifying fan poll, Antonelli received 48.21 percent of the vote to win the British Grand Prix. That made him the clear favourite among fans ahead of the main race.
Hamilton was second in the poll with 33.15 percent despite starting third on the grid. That support reflects the expectation around his bid for a 10th British Grand Prix victory.
Leclerc received 9.50 percent of the vote, followed by Max Verstappen on 6.09 percent. George Russell, Lando Norris, Isack Hadjar and Oscar Piastri were further behind with smaller shares.
The poll does not decide the race outcome, but it highlights public perception around Antonelli's momentum after pole and his Sprint victory. The next question is whether he can convert fan support, track position and Mercedes pace into a Grand Prix win at Silverstone.
