Experienced MotoGP rider Johann Zarco shared his candid perspectives ahead of the final stretch of the world championship calendar. The French veteran, who first raced in Sepang back in 2009, reflected on his strong performance during a wet qualifying session in Phillip Island where he secured a front-row start in third place, despite technical setbacks forcing an early retirement in the Sprint race.

Despite the cancellation of the main Grand Prix in Australia due to severe weather conditions, Zarco displayed zero frustration, pointing out that the relentless pace of the modern motorsport calendar leaves no room for dwelling on missed opportunities.

"To be honest, our calendar is far too packed for me to break my head over it. I always try to take the best out of it, and in Australia's case, it is the fact that I was able to save a lot of energy and arrived very fresh in Malaysia," Zarco stated.

Looking ahead at potential wet conditions in Southeast Asia, the Honda representative remains pragmatic, acknowledging that wet weather tires often present a viable opportunity to secure strong results for his squad before the season concludes. Simultaneously, dry running remains vital for data collection and ongoing development heading into the 2026 campaign.

The conversation also shifted toward the heavily discussed Qatar Grand Prix and safety concerns regarding its proximity to active geopolitical conflict zones. Addressing the situation directly, Zarco emphasized reliance on official assessments from local authorities.

"We have confirmation from the government in Qatar that conditions are normal enough to hold the GP. It is up to us to trust these statements, as the government has no interest in taking risks and would cancel the event if danger exists," explained the veteran rider.

On the technical front, the Japanese manufacturer welcomes a full roster return for the first time since Misano, with both Joan Mir and Luca Marini fully recovered and ready to push for competitive points alongside their teammate as the season reaches its climax.
