Isack Hadjar was left absolutely furious after his troubled weekend at the Singapore Grand Prix continued to unravel during a disastrous qualifying session. The French driver suffered heavily from persistent reliability issues plaguing his Red Bull charger at the challenging Marina Bay Street Circuit.
The nightmare weekend began when mechanical gremlins forced him to retire prematurely from the sprint race, compounding the pain of a battery failure that cost him a potential podium finish just a week prior in Malaysia. Despite massive efforts from his mechanics to ready the car for qualifying, Hadjar's joy proved to be extremely short-lived.
The youngster ground to a complete halt before he could even register a single timed lap during the opening phase of Q1. Although he managed to limp back to the pit lane, a subsequent gearbox failure struck the moment he re-emerged on the asphalt, sealing a thoroughly wretched Saturday session.

No, I want to drive, honestly, I don't care about P22, I just want to get out there and do my thing, Hadjar told Sky Sports F1 when asked if knowing the issue wasn't his fault eased the frustration. I have plenty of soft tyres in the garage right now that are not going to be used, and that's what pisses me off the most right now.
Starting from the back of the grid with overtaking traditionally a massive challenge at this venue, Hadjar is now pushing to introduce a completely fresh pool of power unit elements. We need stuff that is new, he insisted regarding the mechanical failures tearing through his garage.
Team principal Laurent Mekies stopped short of confirming an immediate engine penalty switch but issued a clear apology to his driver for the severe lack of running time throughout the entire race weekend.
