Lewis Hamilton managed to see the bright side after turning a chaotic tyre gamble into a remarkable podium finish at the Formula 1 Malaysian Grand Prix in Sepang.
Starting second on the grid, the seven-time world champion tumbled down the order after Ferrari opted for slick tyres on a soaked track following a dramatic wet start. The gamble backfired horribly, leaving the Briton over a minute off the lead.
Despite the massive setback, Hamilton kept his head down and staged a brilliant recovery drive through the field, culminating in a late overtake on a Red Bull car to snatch third place with three laps remaining.

Reflecting on what he would say during the team debrief to avoid future strategic errors, Hamilton joked, "Yeah... not going to the casino with the guys."
