Ahead of a crucial race weekend in North America, Haas has revealed a striking new special design featuring Japan's most famous movie monster on their VF-26 challengers. The American outfit will field the unique livery driven by Oliver Bearman and Esteban Ocon, marking the second time this season that cinematic art has been blended into their racing colors.
Designed specifically to promote the upcoming theatrical release of Godzilla Minus Zero, the fresh aesthetic showcases a large illustration of the monster stretched across the sidepods. This imagery is paired dynamically with contrasting blue graphics that break away from the team's traditional white, black, and red livery scheme seen at most rounds.
The vibrant blue accents flow seamlessly across the upper bodywork, ensuring the chassis looks distinctively different from the iteration raced earlier this year at Suzuka. This visual spectacle continues an extensive season-long collaboration between the American squad and Japanese entertainment giant TOHO, an agreement initially brokered ahead of the Japanese Grand Prix.
Beyond the eye-catching bodywork updates, the partnership encompasses various promotional activations, specialized merchandise drops, and fan engagement activities spanning the entirety of the 2026 campaign. The Austin reveal also strategically coincides with the upcoming North American box office debut of the movie scheduled for November 6.
On the sporting front, the team arrives at the circuit holding seventh place in the constructors' standings with 30 points, sitting 38 points behind Alpine while maintaining a seven-point gap over Audi. Out of those 30 points, Bearman has contributed 23 while Ocon holds seven, reflecting a challenging development curve over the recent rounds of the championship.
Looking further ahead into the future, the team is already laying groundwork for its 2027 driver lineup with Ocon set to depart at the conclusion of the current campaign. Ferrari junior driver and Formula 2 title contender Rafael Camara has already been locked in as his replacement, where he is expected to partner alongside Bearman.
