Heading into the most iconic endurance event on the Australian motorsport calendar, Grove Racing has officially unveiled a stunning new look for the upcoming Repco Bathurst 1000. Entering the weekend carrying the status of reigning champions, the squad will take to the Mount Panorama circuit featuring a striking chrome, black, and gold color scheme across both of their entries.
This visual overhaul goes beyond mere aesthetics, serving as the primary stage to showcase the brand-new identity of Penrite Automotive. The bonnet of the cars will proudly display Penrite Filters, while Blahst pressure washers occupy the rear quarter panels. Notably, Blahst previously served as a co-sponsor for the Blanchard Racing Team before being recently acquired by Penrite.
Penrite Automotive CEO Toby Dymond explained that the revolutionary color scheme selection represents the evolving nature of a company that has been synonymous with engine lubricants for the past century. This transformation marks a major milestone in uniting their various product lines under one corporate umbrella during a massive moment in domestic motorsport.

“This livery is a celebration of how far Penrite has grown, bringing together the Penrite Automotive brands including Autolite, Blahst, Ultima and Ezilift, with Penrite Filters proudly featured on the bonnet,” Dymond said. “The liquid gold design is bold, distinctive and a great reflection of the energy behind our brands. We’re incredibly proud to see the Penrite Automotive family represented on one of the biggest stages in Australian motorsport.”
The build-up for Grove Racing heading to Mount Panorama is underpinned by tremendous positive momentum. Last season, the squad wrote history by claiming their maiden Bathurst crown courtesy of Matt Payne and Garth Tander. Now, Matt Payne returns to the legendary circuit leading the drivers’ championship standings, while the team also commands the top spot in the teams' standings.
The driver lineup for Grove Racing this year pairs Matt Payne alongside Will Davison in the #19 machine. Meanwhile, the #26 entry will be entrusted to the duo of Kai Allen and Tim Slade, both ready to tackle the intense competition of Australasia's most prestigious touring car endurance race.
Grove Racing CEO Brenton Grove welcomed the high-profile launch of the new livery while acknowledging the immense expectations shouldered by his team as the reigning title holders on a mission to defend their crown in front of thousands of dedicated fans.
“We’re thrilled to present our 2026 Penrite Racing entries for the Repco Bathurst 1000 in what is a very memorable livery,” said Brenton Grove. “The team has got a lot of momentum heading into this one but also we know there are plenty of expectations heading to the Mountain as the reigning champs, but the team is well prepared and ready to defend our crown.”
On-track action for the Bathurst 1000 weekend is officially set to kick off with the opening practice sessions starting on Thursday.
