Formula E, Sportrik Media - EVO Sessions returned at the Jeddah Corniche Circuit following the double-header E-Prix, introducing a competitive format that pairs global influencers and celebrities with official Formula E teams in the Gen3 Evo machinery.
EVO Sessions is a championship-led initiative designed to broaden Formula E’s global reach. Selected influencers are partnered with official teams and undergo driver training before taking to the circuit. After last year’s Miami edition ran without a competitive structure, the 2026 Jeddah event features a head-to-head format with 10 participants split into two teams: Señor Frogs and Quickstars.
For Jeddah, Formula E partnered with Arcade, the management company behind the UK-based YouTube collective Sidemen. Ethan Payne (Behzinga) competes for DS Penske as part of Señor Frogs, while Vikkstar serves as team manager of Quickstars. YouTuber TheBurntChip drives for Jaguar, Izzy Hammond represents Lola, and Khaby Lame races with Nissan. Other notable participants include Emelia Hartford with Porsche and Stan Browney for Andretti.
Regarding potential crash damage, Formula E CEO Jeff Dodds confirmed during the Jeddah E-Prix weekend that the championship — not the teams — will cover repair costs, as EVO Sessions is a Formula E-led initiative aimed at expanding audience engagement.
The format begins with individual 15-minute solo track sessions for each participant, allowing drivers to build familiarity without on-track traffic. The four quickest drivers from each team progress to the quarter-final duels. The slowest driver from each team competes in a “wooden spoon” duel to determine the final classification position.
Points are awarded progressively through the knockout rounds: one point for a quarter-final win, three for a semi-final victory, and five for the final winner. The wooden spoon duel winner also earns five points. The team with the highest cumulative score is crowned overall champion, while the final duel winner claims the individual EVO Sessions title.
