Motorsport culture beyond the track has increasingly expanded into driver lifestyle, fashion, travel, design, and the stories that make racing far more than just a sport. Formula 1 merchandise has traditionally evolved at a slow pace, strictly keeping up with team colors, sponsors, and core branding. More recently, however, fashion has transformed into a massive component of the championship, even mirroring the distinctive culture of the countries visited by your favorite teams throughout the season.
Ahead of another thrilling race weekend in Southeast Asia, two of the championship's largest apparel brands have produced specialized clothing lines to celebrate the event. Both Puma and adidas have built exclusive collections deeply rooted in the region's rich history and diverse culture, blending racing identity with traditional local art forms.
Puma has released a Singapura Limited Edition line specifically for Ferrari and McLaren, which is sold exclusively across Southeast Asia. Designers pulled rich references from across the region, incorporating Sino-Portuguese architecture, Indonesian and Malaysian batik, Thailand's Mudmee weaving, Vietnamese brocade, traditional Philippine weaves, and classic Peranakan tiles.

The Ferrari side of the drop is finished in Club Red paired with a pale Shoji tone, complemented by Peranakan prints featuring intricate floral detailing. The collection hit retail stores across Singapore, Malaysia, and Indonesia at the beginning of August, before rolling out to Thailand, Vietnam, and the Philippines two weeks later. Meanwhile, McLaren took a distinct route, featuring patchworks of Espresso Brown and black coloring alongside batik-style graphics paired with the traditional papaya hue of the Woking-based outfit, launching on August 4.
On the other hand, adidas and the Mercedes F1 team chose to focus entirely on a single powerful symbol: the Vanda Miss Joaquim, Singapore's national flower. The resulting Vanda Bloom collection utilizes the orchid's signature pink and purple colors alongside crisp white detailing spread across multiple apparel designs.
"Our race-specific collections are an opportunity to connect more deeply with the communities that welcome Formula One each season," said Richard Sanders, chief commercial officer at Mercedes. "The Vanda Bloom Collection pays tribute to Singapore through one of its most iconic national symbols while reflecting the innovation and engineering excellence that both Mercedes-AMG Petronas F1 Team and Singapore are known for. We’re excited to see the team and our fans bring this story to life throughout race weekend." Because the Singapore Grand Prix is famously punctuated by punishing heat and extreme humidity, adidas has intentionally utilized its advanced CLIMACOOL and CLIMAPROOF technology across numerous pieces in the lineup.
