Following three intense days of evaluation at the Circuito de Guadix, eight young road racing talents have officially been selected for the 2027 edition of the Red Bull MotoGP Rookies Cup. The prestigious talent-search event brought together 127 young riders from 45 countries, all vying for a coveted spot in the championship grid.

The four-member selection committee faced a rigorous task assessing the participants across three demanding days. Initial groups were filtered down through the opening sessions, culminating in a final-day showdown featuring 52 promising riders on track. From that competitive pool, only eight names ultimately earned an invitation to join the premier junior series.

Traditional European racing powerhouses heavily dictate the final selection list. Spain leads the intake with three new rookies securing their places: Victor Cubeles, Alex Longarela, and Alvaro Lucas. France and Italy follow closely with two selections each, represented by Johann Dubois and Jimmy Primaut for France, alongside Lorenzo Pritelli and Mathias Tamburini for Italy. Swiss rider Alessio Arnold successfully completes the elite group of eight.

Meanwhile, the Dutch contingent experienced a heartbreaking conclusion on the opening day. All four Dutch participants—Quinn de Joode, Luuk de Vries, Milan Hunneman, and Mick Koomen—competed in the first group at Guadix but missed out on final-day call-ups. Luuk de Vries notably showed strong pace, finishing comfortably clear of his compatriots and outpacing several Spanish rivals, yet the committee's holistic evaluation criteria extends beyond pure lap times.

Belgium's hopes similarly ended before they truly began. Tom Rolin stood as the sole Belgian entry on the preliminary list but was unfortunately sidelined due to injury, preventing him from participating in the selection event.
