Formula E, Sportrik Media - Dan Ticktum has been selected to drive the Formula E Gen4 car during its UK public debut at the 2026 Goodwood Festival of Speed. The Cupra Kiro driver will take Formula E’s fastest-ever single-seater up the Goodwood Hill from July 9-12.

The demonstration will provide the first opportunity for the public to see the Gen4 running before the next-generation car is introduced into the Formula E championship. Ticktum will drive it on the 1.16-mile hillclimb, one of the central attractions of the British automotive event.

The Gen4 represents the largest performance increase since Formula E began racing with electric single-seaters. The car produces up to 600 kW, equivalent to approximately 815 bhp, can exceed 335 km/h and is capable of accelerating from 0-100 km/h in around 1.8 seconds.

Its acceleration also allows the car to reach 200 km/h in only 4.4 seconds. Alongside approximately 50 percent more power in race mode than the current machinery, the Gen4 features permanent all-wheel drive designed to increase traction and improve performance when accelerating out of corners.

“Goodwood is the ultimate celebration of car culture, so it’s the perfect place to show the fastest single-seater Formula E has ever built,” Ticktum said.

“The Gen4 is 50 percent more powerful in race mode than the current cars, handles like an absolute weapon with permanent all-wheel drive and is ready to fly up the hill. I’m excited,” he added.

Formula E will also display the complete evolution of its racing machinery at Goodwood. The Gen1, Gen2, Gen3 and Gen4 cars will appear together for the first time, providing a direct comparison of the championship’s progress in power, technology and design.

Ticktum’s Goodwood appearance will therefore be more than a speed demonstration, as it forms an important part of Formula E’s introduction to its next technical era. With increased power, significantly faster acceleration and a new drivetrain concept, the Gen4 will underpin the championship’s biggest transformation when it enters competition.
