Gigi Dall'Igna, Ducati Corse General Manager, has made it clear that while data is a key weapon in Ducati's MotoGP success, each rider's riding style remains unique and impossible to replicate exactly. According to him, what makes Marc Marquez and Pecco Bagnaia great cannot be copied by other riders.

“Every rider has a different style. Even if they are trying to copy each other, it is impossible,” Dall'Igna told MCNews.com.au. “For example, the riding style of Marc on left corners is impossible to copy. Sometimes it is impossible to copy Pecco in the braking area.”

Dall'Igna also highlighted the strengths of VR46's Fabio di Giannantonio, particularly his corner speed. “He is one of the best in that regard,” he added. This statement comes amid a tight championship battle, where reigning champion Marquez needs to overturn a 40-point deficit to Jorge Martin in the final ten rounds.

Di Giannantonio is just one point behind Marquez in fifth place, while Bagnaia, a former double champion, sits eighth. Both Italians will leave Ducati at the end of this season; di Giannantonio heads to KTM, while Bagnaia has signed a long-term deal with Aprilia for the new 850cc/Pirelli era.

Dall'Igna's remarks underscore that despite Ducati's advantage of having more bikes on the grid and extensive data, the human factor remains a key differentiator. Each rider has specific strengths that cannot be replicated, and that is what makes MotoGP even more fascinating.
