Canadian racing outfit 13 Autosport has officially confirmed its maiden entry for the prestigious Bathurst 12 Hour endurance classic, scheduled to take place from February 11-14 at the legendary Mount Panorama circuit. The team, established by owner-driver Orey Fidani, is set to field their competitive Corvette Z06 GT3.R to tackle the demanding iconic Australian track.

Although the official driver line-up for the gruelling 12-hour endurance race in Bathurst is yet to be finalized, their core roster is heavily anticipated to feature seasoned IMSA talents. The established lineup includes team owner Orey Fidani, factory Corvette driver Matt Bell, and stalwart racer Lars Kern, promising a formidable challenge in the international GT3 field.

Aside from their upcoming Australian campaign, the 13 Autosport squad has mapped out an extensive international calendar for the 2027 season. They are slated to return to the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans while actively exploring other global racing opportunities with a major strategic emphasis on European circuits.

Factory ace Matt Bell expressed his immense excitement regarding the team's ambitious expansion plans. "It’s great to be continuing with Orey and 13 Autosport into the 2027 IMSA season," Bell stated, highlighting the strong camaraderie built within the paddock over previous campaigns.

Reflecting on the upcoming calendar additions, Matt Bell added, "The opportunity to race at Bathurst is incredibly exciting, and there are some other things we’re looking at in Europe as well. It’s a really exciting time for 13 Autosport, and I’m glad to be part of it."

The newest iteration of the Corvette Z06 GT3.R is no stranger to the Mount Panorama layout, having made its competitive debut earlier this year in the hands of Johor Motorsports Racing. Meanwhile, 13 Autosport itself was forged after Orey Fidani acquired the AWA operation from Andrew Wojteczko, who continues to lend his expertise as a valued consultant.

Reflecting on the organization's rapid growth, Orey Fidani voiced deep pride in the collective achievements secured throughout the season. "We have a special group of people at 13 Autosport, and what we achieved this year is a reflection of how hard everyone has worked," Fidani commented.

Looking ahead to the challenges of the upcoming year, Orey Fidani emphasized that the team's hunger for success remains fully intact. "Winning the Bob Akin Award again, finishing fifth in the GTD Championship and earning another opportunity to go to Le Mans are things we’re very proud of, but we’re not done yet. There’s a lot more we want to accomplish together, and I’m really excited about what we have planned for 2027," he concluded.
