Dan Cammish secured his second win of the season in the 2026 BTCC Race 2 at Donington Park GP, as NAPA Racing UK teammate Ash Sutton had to settle for second place. The race was filled with drama, close battles, and tyre strategy that shaped the outcome.
From the start, Adam Morgan led the pack, but Ash Sutton quickly pressured and overtook him at Craner Curves. Meanwhile, Dan Cammish, starting third, dropped back after a mistake at The Esses, allowing Dan Rowbottom and Morgan to pass.
Cammish didn't give up. He fought back, passing Morgan at Redgate, then chasing down Rowbottom who had taken the lead. Contact at Goddards proved pivotal as Cammish took over P1, while Sutton and Tom Ingram engaged in a fierce battle behind.

Tyre strategy was key. Those forced to run the hard compound, including Sutton and Morgan, clearly struggled for pace. Sutton, who had led early, had to concede positions to Rowbottom and Cammish. Ingram, also on hards, repeatedly tried to overtake to improve his position.
Late drama unfolded when Rowbottom lost drive at The Esses, opening the door for Sutton and Ingram to pass. Ingram even got past Rowbottom again at the final corner, showing his determination to close the gap in the championship. Up front, Cammish cruised to victory, his second of the season.
The result extends Sutton's lead in the drivers' standings, but Ingram continues to apply pressure. Cammish has proven himself a serious contender with two wins in the last three races. The next round will test all teams' ability to balance speed and tyre consistency.
