The whirlwind of speculation surrounding Maranello has prompted a firm response from Ferrari CEO Benedetto Vigna. Amid the relentless wave of social media misinformation, he chose to address the swirling narratives regarding the team principal's future.
Vigna’s scientific background relies heavily on verifying facts before jumping to conclusions. He recalled an ironic moment when reading an article claiming his relationship with Fred Vasseur had completely broken down, precisely while they were sharing dinner together at the exact same table.
According to Vigna, the core issue of the modern era isn't freedom of speech, but rather the blurred line between subjective opinions and hard facts. When a rumor is repeated endlessly, the public often mistakes it for absolute truth without proper verification.
Nevertheless, the Scuderia management refuses to make excuses regarding their on-track performance. Vigna openly acknowledged that rival teams have simply done a superior job in developing their packages this season.
Stepping in with a public vote of confidence was deemed necessary to silence external noise and protect the garage. This decisive stance ensures the entire outfit remains entirely focused on the ongoing Formula 1 campaign.
