The final practice session of the 2026 WorldSBK Spanish round at Circuito de Jerez-Angel Nieto delivered intense on-track action as Alex Lowes claimed the top spot with a late flying lap. Riding the Bimota KB998 for the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, the British rider clocked a blistering 1:37.690 to edge out the competition on Saturday morning.
The decisive time attack by Alex Lowes dethroned Nicolo Bulega, who had been setting a strong pace earlier in the session. Notably, Nicolo Bulega and his Aruba.it Racing Ducati team-mate, Iker Lecuona, were among the few riders who chose not to run the soft SCQ tyre during the morning outing.
Consequently, Nicolo Bulega settled for second place using solely the SCX tyre, while Iker Lecuona struggled down in 17th position. This distinct tyre strategy from the Ducati garage highlights interesting tactical preparations ahead of the crucial Superpole qualifying session later in the day.

Further down the timesheets, Yari Montella rounded out the top three for Barni Spark Racing. The remaining top-ten places were filled by Alberto Surra, Lorenzo Baldassarri, Axel Bassani, Sam Lowes, Xavi Vierge, Tommy Bridewell, and Miguel Oliveira respectively.
With such tightly contested margins across the field, teams are now analyzing final data adjustments to tackle the upcoming Superpole grid battle. The stage is firmly set for a thrilling qualifying showdown at the Andalusian circuit.
