The premier class of motorsport returns under the spectacular lights of Southeast Asia as Kimi Antonelli prepares to face a formidable challenge at the iconic Marina Bay street circuit. Round 17 of the 2026 Formula 1 World Championship promises intense action, marking the sixth and final Sprint weekend of the current racing calendar.
All eyes remain fixed on the championship battle as Kimi Antonelli arrives in Singapore holding a commanding 84-point lead in the drivers' standings. This substantial margin at the top was heavily influenced by George Russell suffering a costly DNF during the preceding round, completely reshaping the intra-team dynamics for the remainder of the season.
Track action kicks off with the sole free practice session scheduled for Friday, October 9th, at 16:30 local time. The competitive stakes immediately rise later that evening with Sprint Qualifying getting underway at 20:30 local time, setting the grid for Saturday's high-speed showdowns.
Saturday, October 10th, features a historic first as the Marina Bay venue hosts its inaugural Sprint race at 17:00 local time. Teams will have no time to breathe before heading straight back out for the main Grand Prix qualifying session, slated for 21:00 local time under the floodlights.
The grueling triple-header weekend culminates on Sunday, October 11th, with the 2026 F1 Singapore Grand Prix starting at 20:00 local time. With British Summer Time sitting seven hours behind Singapore, UK fans can catch the Sprint at 10:00 BST and the main Grand Prix race at 13:00 BST.
