The Budapest weekend represents the 11th round of the 2026 Formula 1 calendar. The narrow and technical nature of the Hungaroring, combined with its limited overtaking opportunities, makes starting position and strategic execution particularly important.

Kimi Antonelli arrives in Hungary with strong momentum after claiming his sixth victory of the season at the Belgian Grand Prix. The result gave the Mercedes driver a substantial championship advantage heading into the final event before the break.

The Hungarian Grand Prix weekend begins with FP1 on Friday, July 24 at 13:30 local time. FP2 follows at 17:00 and will provide the main opportunity for teams to assess both single-lap performance and longer race simulations.

FP3 is scheduled for Saturday, July 25 at 12:30 local time. The final practice session will allow the teams to complete their set-up preparations before qualifying begins at 16:00.

The 2026 Hungarian Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, July 26 at 15:00 local time. The drivers are scheduled to complete 70 laps of the Hungaroring in the final opportunity to score points before Formula 1 pauses for the summer break.
