The final practice session of the 2026 Estoril WorldSBK weekend delivered high drama as Alex Lowes pulled off a late charge to top the FP3 timesheets. Piloting the Bimota KB998 for the Bimota by Kawasaki Racing Team, the British rider unleashed a blistering lap time of 1m34.740s to snatch the premier spot away from the Borgo Panigale machines at Circuito do Estoril.
Lowes ultimately carved out a 0.083-second advantage over Nicolo Bulega, who had controlled the majority of the session for Aruba.it Racing Ducati before being deposed in the dying moments. The thrilling battle at the summit set an intense tone ahead of the crucial Superpole qualifying showdown.
Slotting in right behind the lead duo was Alberto Surra, who once again impressed for Motocorsa Racing by securing third place, just 0.041 seconds adrift of Bulega. Meanwhile, home hero Miguel Oliveira rounded out the exclusive club of riders dipping into the 1m34s bracket for ROKiT BMW Motorrad in fourth.

Further down the order, Axel Bassani claimed fifth position ahead of Iker Lecuona. The session also featured a heart-stopping moment when Yari Montella suffered a remarkable front-end moment at Turn 1 with roughly six minutes remaining, somehow executing an extraordinary save before recovering to take seventh-fastest.
Rounding out the top ten in the final practice run were Alvaro Bautista, Garrett Gerloff, and Jake Dixon. The entire field now shifts its complete focus toward the upcoming Superpole session to fight for grid supremacy.
