The international rallying world is buzzing as a remarkable young prospect prepares to take his burgeoning career across the Atlantic. According to RallyJournal, 14-year-old Polish rally talent Hubert Gryc has received a prestigious invitation to compete in the United States, marking a major milestone in his rapidly developing motorsport journey.
For this high-profile overseas outing, the young prodigy is set to pilot a Peugeot 208 Rally4, a machine featuring specifications highly reminiscent of hardware commonly utilized in development categories linked to the WRC pyramid. Guiding him through the notes in the co-driver's seat will be Lithuania’s Vainevicius Ugnius, forming a determined international partnership ready to tackle unfamiliar terrain.
The event serves as the grand finale of the United States championship season, offering a fierce competitive environment. Despite the magnitude of the opportunity, the young driver is keeping his expectations grounded and refusing to heap unnecessary pressure on his shoulders. This overseas venture builds upon a foundation largely built in the Baltic regions—a traditional proving ground mirroring the early career path of current stars like Kalle Rovanpera, who famously began competing in Latvia at just 12 years old.

Gryc's motorsport resume already holds fascinating milestones. According to archive data from the EWRC website, his earliest recorded competitive outing took place in the Czech Republic back in 2021 when he was merely 11 years old, piloting a BMW. More recently, he contested an event in Finland driving a Ford Fiesta R2 in Tammisaari, where he and co-driver Mikko Lukka successfully salvaged a 14th-place class finish despite suffering a dramatic driveshaft failure right at the start of the rally.
Having already secured notable class victories in Latvian national rallies, Gryc now steps into a completely new chapter of his career on American soil. Armed with a Peugeot 208 Rally4 and an adventurous spirit, the Polish teenager is ready to absorb as much experience as possible from what promises to be a career-defining American adventure.
