The season finale of the Italian junior formula championship delivered high drama as Elia Weiss put on a commanding masterclass to win the third heat at Mugello. The German driver's brilliant drive secured his maiden victory in the championship and ended a long dry spell for Jenzer Motorsport, marking their first trip to the top step since Filip Ugran's triumph at Imola back in August 2020.
This milestone victory served as sweet redemption for Elia Weiss, who endured a disastrous outing earlier in the year at Mugello in July when a double retirement meant two pole positions yielded zero points. Learning from past setbacks, he launched a brilliant move around the outside of polesitter David Cosma-Cristofor at San Donato on the opening lap to seize control of the race.
With clean air ahead, Elia Weiss steadily extended his advantage at the front. Behind him, his Jenzer Motorsport teammate Levi Arn slotted into second place, keeping David Cosma-Cristofor and the chasing pack at bay while managing tire degradation through the sweeping Mugello corners.

A comfortable leading gap was neutralized mid-race due to a safety car intervention following a Turn 1 incident. However, Elia Weiss executed a flawless restart, instantly pulling away from the chaos behind and maintaining his composure to the checkered flag.
Reflecting on his breakthrough win, an overjoyed Elia Weiss told Formula Scout, "We had a really great start. We had great pace already yesterday, so I am just really satisfied to reproduce it today and to give this win back to the team." Having already clinched the F4 Central Europe crown, he added that conquering the competitive Italian series feels like an extraordinary achievement.
