The opening round of the Dunlop Super2 Series delivered high drama and chaotic incidents as drivers battled fiercely for position from the very first lap. Starting from second alongside pole sitter Campbell Logan, the Blanchard Racing Team contender immediately found himself fighting to defend his territory.
Tensions boiled over at Turn 4 when Nash Morris launched a forceful inside maneuver. The resulting contact sent the front-runner spearing off into the tyre barrier, bringing an abrupt end to an impressive run of consistent finishes stretching back over three seasons.
"Typical Super2," reflected the frustrated driver after suffering his first retirement in a long time. "We’ve had a good run this year so far. Unfortunately, today’s our day. Nash is always going to have a crack, and unfortunately he had a crack on me today. We will let the driving standards advisor see what he thinks of it, and we will come back fighting in the next race."

The mayhem continued deeper into the race when a subsequent driver error triggered a multi-car pileup involving Bayley Sweeny and Ryan Tomsett, prompting another Safety Car intervention to clear the blocked circuit.
Once racing resumed under green flag conditions, Campbell Logan masterfully controlled the pace to secure victory for Tickford Autosport. Further down the order, Brad Vaughan orchestrated a brilliant recovery drive from the rear to salvage valuable championship points.
