The automotive world is preparing for the comeback of one of the most legendary names in motoring history. According to FormulaPassion, Citroen is reviving the iconic 2CV after a 36-year absence. This bold initiative relies not just on pure nostalgia, but also on a modern mission for accessible urban mobility.
As the Paris motor show opens its doors, the French manufacturer will showcase an early look at this compact vehicle through a pure electric city car concept. Classic design cues of the past blend with futuristic touches to captivate a new generation of drivers seeking practical transport.
Design Director Pierre Leclercq eagerly welcomed this major project as a defining moment to bring a human-centric character back to driving. Dimensionally, the new model sits more compact than the C3 crossover, effectively stepping in as the spiritual successor to the discontinued C1 and C2 city cars.

The mass-production version is officially slated for a 2028 market launch. Intriguingly, the manufacturer aims for a retail price tag under 15.000 euros, positioning it as one of the most accessible electrification options in Europe.
