The 2026 WorldWCR season delivered an emotional rollercoaster for Chloe Jones after navigating a grueling campaign filled with intense battles and mental hurdles. Entering the year as a projected front-runner following her third-place overall finish in 2025, the 22-year-old British rider faced an uphill battle before finally tasting champagne at Misano during the second half of the season.
Throughout the twelve-race calendar, the Northampton native showcased remarkable consistency by finishing inside the points in every single race, a rare feat achieved only by herself and newly crowned world champion Maria Herrera alongside six additional top-seven finishes to secure fifth place in the standings.
The ultimate breakthrough came during the season finale at the Circuito de Jerez in Spain, where Jones executed a breathtaking, gutsy overtake right at the final corner to snatch a podium finish away from her rivals. Reflecting on her rollercoaster journey, she admitted to battling severe self-doubt and immense pressure during moments when finding a way forward seemed nearly impossible.
Despite her resilience on track, uncertainties loom large over her racing future as the Crescent team prepares to exit the women's championship due to upcoming manufacturer shifts. Nevertheless, her relentless fighting spirit and refusal to surrender define a truly memorable chapter in her professional motorsport career.
