CATL and YES-EU Launch Europe Largest Battery Service Hub in Norway 2026

CATL and YES-EU have inaugurated a massive 10,000-plus square meter battery service facility in the Oslo area of Norway to strengthen the European aftermarket support network. This strategic development involves a partnership with NING Service, the official brand dedicated to CATL after-sales assistance, focusing on comprehensive life-cycle management, practical training, and certified repairs.

This agreement marks a continuation of a longstanding relationship between the two entities. YES-EU and CATL have collaborated closely since 2018 when YES-EU became the Chinese giant's first European partner for high-voltage battery services. What began as regional operations in Northern Europe has evolved into a long-term alliance encompassing technical support, lifecycle management, and continuous infrastructure development across the continent.

A core philosophy driving this new Norwegian facility is targeted mechanical intervention. The company explains that repairing a damaged or defective energy storage unit should not automatically entail replacing the entire battery pack. Advanced diagnostic systems allow technicians to isolate specific faulty components and modules whenever technically feasible.

This specialized approach significantly reduces repair and insurance costs for fleet managers, leasing companies, and insurers alike. Furthermore, by repairing only the affected parts rather than discarding entire assemblies, the initiative successfully extends useful battery life and minimizes material waste across the automotive sector.

The establishment of this major European hub underscores the ongoing evolution of electric mobility infrastructure. By combining advanced diagnostic capabilities with authorized original spare parts, the facility sets a high benchmark for sustainable vehicle maintenance and technical readiness throughout European markets.
