The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship season came to a dramatic close at the Autodromo Nazionale Monza, following an unpredictable weekend shaped by rain showers on Friday and Saturday. The dry 6 Hours of Monza race on Sunday delivered intense action across the Hypercar field, with six different manufacturers locking out the top six positions in a thrilling display of endurance racing.
Cadillac signed off the campaign with a dominant victory courtesy of Jack Aitken, Sebastien Bourdais, and Earl Bamber aboard Jota’s #38 V-Series R. Aitken stamped his authority early in the race by clearing pole-sitter Miguel Molina in the Ferrari and Genesis driver Daniel Juncadella during a chaotic opening hour.
Although Bourdais faced brief pressure from Alpine's #36 A424 driven by Victor Martins during the second hour, the Cadillac crew remained largely unchallenged at the front to claim their maiden win of the 2026 season. Meanwhile, Toyota—having already wrapped up the manufacturers' crown in Barcelona last month—endured its toughest outing of the year.

Neither GR010 Hybrid managed to finish inside the points, but an 11th-place finish was still enough for Brendon Hartley, Sebastien Buemi, and Ryo Hirakawa to clinch their third Hypercar drivers' title together, following previous triumphs in 2022 and 2023.
Action erupted right from the start when Daniel Juncadella banged wheels with Molina’s pole-sitting Ferrari at the first chicane, forcing the Genesis driver off-track before he rejoined in the lead under immediate race control scrutiny.
