Ahead of their second home appearance of the 2026 Formula 1 season, Cadillac has officially unveiled a distinctive and visually striking look for their MAC-26 challenger. The American outfit has chosen to decorate the car with patterns heavily inspired by traditional cowboy clothing and classic leatherwork.
Fine lines across the bodywork imitate decorative stitching found on denim jeans and vintage western shirts, while other intricate details draw inspiration from ornate, traditional saddles. The design also incorporates references to the host city and venue, featuring the Austin skyline and a track map alongside 50 stars, cacti, and an upward-facing horseshoe intended to bring good luck.
To complement the car's unique aesthetic, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez will wear specially designed race suits specifically tailored for the race weekend. The livery was developed jointly by General Motors designers in Michigan and Cadillac’s UK-based technical team, with work commencing during the northern summer.

General Motors design manager Vincent Traina helped translate the western concept into aerodynamic-friendly graphics. "It looks like the whole livery is embroidered right onto the car, which is really cool," Traina noted regarding the finished product.
This special Austin design represents the team's third one-off livery in their inaugural F1 campaign, following previous patriotic designs used earlier in the year at Miami and Silverstone.
