Broc Feeney surged to the top of the timesheets in the final practice session at the Boost Mobile Gold Coast 500, leading a commanding lockout of the top four positions for Ford. The young charger mastered the challenging street circuit before rain began to fall immediately as the session drew to a close.
Ford's dominance was further underscored by Tickford Racing's Cameron Waters claiming second place, closely followed by James Golding and Kai Allen rounding out an all-Ford top four. Despite setting the pace, Feeney kept his expectations grounded given the tricky weather conditions and the hectic nature of the practice running.
In the chasing pack, Jack Le Brocq emerged as the highest-placed Chevrolet contender in fifth ahead of Aaron Cameron. The Toyota trio of Chaz Mostert, Ryan Wood, and Andre Heimgartner occupied positions seven through nine respectively, with David Reynolds securing the final spot in the top ten.

While the session ran relatively smoothly without major red-flag interruptions, Grove Racing's Matt Payne suffered a significant setback. An engine belt failure forced the New Zealander into the pit lane early, denying him a crucial qualifying simulation run and leaving him down in fourteenth.
The unforgiving concrete barriers also caught out a few other drivers during the early running as they pushed the limits on the street circuit. Read our in-depth analysis for complete weekend updates, lap times, and session breakdowns.
