Internal tensions within the Aspar Team have reached a boiling point following a major clash between their two riders. The relationship between David Alonso and Daniel Holgado has completely deteriorated after a heavy joint crash during the intermediate class race in Indonesia, casting a dark shadow over the team ahead of the Australian Grand Prix at Phillip Island.
The feud ignited when Holgado clipped the rear wheel of his teammate shortly after the race start at the Mandalika International Street Circuit, triggering a violent highside that abruptly ended both CFMOTO riders' races. Although Holgado immediately shouldered full responsibility for the blunder and issued a public apology, the gesture failed to mend the deep fractures within the squad.
Speaking exclusively to Spanish broadcaster DAZN prior to the opening practice sessions in Australia, Alonso revealed that their underlying issues extend far beyond a mere racing incident. The young star made it clear that the atmosphere inside the garage has dissolved completely.

Alonso stated: "There is no relationship left between us, there is no chemistry within the team and actually it is no longer a team. When someone is not a pleasant person, you cannot change that. I will move on with my life and he with his."
According to Alonso, the Mandalika crash was merely a symptom rather than the root cause of their broken bond. He noted that wheel-to-wheel combat is an accepted risk of Grand Prix racing, pointing to deeper friction behind closed doors.
Refusing to fire back angrily, Holgado adopted a remarkably calm stance in his response to DAZN. The Spaniard reiterated that he had already apologized for ruining their races in Indonesia and preferred to keep his focus entirely on the sporting side of the championship.
