Adrien Fourmaux is riding a wave of momentum in the WRC. His last three rounds have been particularly strong, securing two podium finishes and narrowly missing out on another. Now, the Hyundai driver shifts his focus to Rally Chile, where he aims to continue his impressive form.
In the last three events, Fourmaux has been a consistent frontrunner. He finished third in Estonia and Paraguay, and fourth in Finland. These results have given him confidence heading to Chile, a rally where he led last year before ultimately finishing third.
“I’m really looking forward to Rally Chile after showing very strong pace throughout the weekend in Paraguay,” said Fourmaux. “It gives us confidence and hopefully we can carry this performance into Chile.”
Rally Chile is a special event for the Frenchman. Last year, he led after Friday but dropped to third on Saturday and held that position to the finish. “It’s a rally I really enjoy. Last year we were fighting at the front and we finished on the podium,” he recalled.
He also highlighted the stages’ characteristics: “The stages are fast and flowing, but also quite technical, so you need a lot of precision and confidence in the car.”
Fourmaux is still chasing his first Rally1 victory. In Paraguay, he demonstrated that the Hyundai i20 N Rally1 has the pace to fight at the front. Victory is a real possibility, and Fourmaux knows it.
“We know we were competitive there last year, and after the performance we had in Paraguay, the target is to fight at the front again and push for the best possible result,” he emphasised.
With momentum and confidence on his side, Hyundai and Fourmaux are ready for the challenge in Chile. Will his first win finally come? We’ll find out on the stages.
