Pedro Acosta already has his eyes on the next big challenge in MotoGP: sharing a garage with Marc Marquez. The Spanish rider is entering a new phase of his career with the ambition of becoming one of the championship's top references, and he has a very clear idea of how to get there: by being himself.
In an interview with Motosprint, Acosta stressed that a natural personality is key to longevity in MotoGP. “My parents are more politically correct. But I think if you want to do this for fifteen or twenty years, you have to be natural. You can't be a character, because one day the mask will fall. So I prefer people to know me for who I am, rather than the television version of Pedro,” he said.
Since his early days, Acosta has been known not just for his talent. His straightforward personality and spontaneous way of speaking have made him one of the most interesting riders in the paddock. He also has an impressive track record: two titles in three seasons in the junior classes, then a rapid rise to MotoGP and a factory KTM seat after just one full season.

The current situation is not ideal. The KTM he rides is still behind the Italian machines, so he can't yet fight for the title. But Acosta remains optimistic. He believes the lessons from his father, a fisherman, are the foundation of his mental strength. “My father taught me never to give up. That helps me a lot in MotoGP. Everything happened so fast, and now that I'm fighting for the title, that lesson keeps me motivated,” he explained.
Sharing a team with Marquez at Ducati will be a huge test. Marquez is one of the toughest rivals on the grid, and Acosta knows it well. But he is not intimidated. On the contrary, this challenge motivates him even more to prove he can compete with the best.
With a relaxed yet sharp style, Acosta is ready for the new chapter. The question now is whether he can consistently be himself under the immense pressure of racing against a legend like Marquez. We'll see his moves next season.
