The Moto2 practice session at Phillip Island delivered intense drama ahead of this weekend's races. Izan Guevara successfully topped the Practice timesheet in a session peppered with crashes and yellow flags, displaying impressive form aboard his Boscoscuro machine.
The Pramac Blu Cru Yamaha rider was a consistent force throughout the track running. Despite surviving an early wobble on his machine, he bounced back to reclaim the top spot and set the benchmark lap time of the day with a 1 minute 30.016 second effort.
Meanwhile, Senna Agius put on a stellar performance in front of his home crowd to secure second place. Representing the Liqui Moly Dynavolt Intact GP squad, the local contender finished just 0.018 seconds shy of Guevara's leading benchmark.

Fierce competition also unfolded within the Aspar camp, where David Alonso emerged as the stronger teammate by claiming third quickest. Behind him, Daniel Holgado slotted into fourth despite being one of several riders caught out by falls that resulted in cancelled laps.
The official practice running saw numerous high-profile incidents across the tarmac, featuring heavy crashes for Aron Canet and Sergio Garcia, while Indonesian hopeful Mario Aji safely secured a direct Q2 berth in twelfth position.
