The rising Chinese manufacturer ZX Moto is making serious waves in the international motorcycle racing paddock following an impressive campaign in the intermediate world championship. Spearheaded by visionary founder Zhang Xue, the ambitious brand is now setting its sights on a massive expansion into higher-tier racing categories, building on the tremendous momentum gained from their recent competitive successes.

The brand's strategic approach to leveraging production-based world championships as a primary marketing platform has paid off spectacularly. Partnering with the renowned squad Evan Bros Racing, talented rider Valentin Debise secured six remarkable victories and finished the season as the world runner-up in Supersport. This stellar on-track performance directly translated into a massive surge in commercial orders for the 820RR and other models.

Speaking during the prestigious EICMA motorcycle exhibition, Xue outlined the brand's roadmap for future motorsport commitments. The founder emphasized that Chinese manufacturing capability is gaining widespread recognition and earning the trust of the global market. "Our brand, as well as other Chinese factories, are increasingly perceived as quality manufacturers, and we are successfully winning the trust of both the domestic and global markets," Xue stated.

Looking ahead, the factory is targeting official homologation to enter the premier Superbike World Championship by 2028, viewing it as the perfect timing for their grand project. The ultimate vision is to secure championship titles across all three major categories and establish themselves as the world's leading motorcycle brand by 2035. This aggressive timeline marks a fascinating shift in the competitive landscape of international motorcycle racing.

However, technical regulations will play a crucial role in shaping their ultimate machine. According to reports from Speedweek, the manufacturer has previously explored plans to develop a superbike powered by a five-cylinder engine, a design that remains strictly prohibited under the current championship rulebook. Paddock observers will be watching closely to see how their engineering strategy adapts to these regulatory frameworks.
