WorldSBK, Sportrik Media – The 2026 WorldSBK championship standings saw further consolidation at the top following the conclusion of Race 2 at the Dutch Round, with Nicolo Bulega extending his advantage through another flawless weekend.
The Aruba.it Racing Ducati rider completed a third clean sweep of the season, underlining his control over the championship narrative. His latest victory not only maintained his unbeaten run in 2026 but also increased the gap to his closest rival in the standings.
Teammate Iker Lecuona once again delivered a consistent performance across the weekend, securing second-place finishes in all races. While this keeps him firmly in second position overall, the points deficit to Bulega has grown further, highlighting the Italian’s current competitive edge.

Behind them, Sam Lowes continued his upward trajectory in the standings after another triple podium result. His consistency has allowed him to strengthen his position among the leading contenders as the season progresses.
The battle for positions just outside the top three remains tightly contested. Miguel Oliveira experienced a mixed weekend that affected his standing, while Alex Lowes remained in close contention, leaving both riders level in the championship fight. Oliveira continues to be the highest-placed non-Ducati rider, although the gap to the championship leader has widened significantly.
Further down the order, riders such as Axel Bassani and Alvaro Bautista remain within striking distance in a competitive midfield, where margins continue to play a decisive role in shaping the standings.
With momentum clearly on his side, Bulega heads into the next round at Balaton Park with a substantial advantage, while his rivals face increasing pressure to respond. The evolving competitive order suggests that consistency and development will remain critical factors as the 2026 WorldSBK season moves forward.
