Moto3, Sportrik Media - Veda Ega Pratama will start the 2026 French Moto3 Grand Prix at Le Mans from sixth position after delivering a competitive performance during Saturday qualifying.
The Honda Team Asia rider progressed directly into Q2 after ending practice inside the top nine. Veda then posted a best lap of 1m40.403s during the decisive qualifying session to secure a second-row grid position.
Veda initially showed strong pace during his first hot-lap attempts and briefly challenged for a place inside the top five. However, the Indonesian rider was unable to improve further during the final runs as track conditions became increasingly crowded.

Pole position was ultimately secured by Adrian Fernandez of Leopard Racing with a lap time of 1m40.044s. Maximo Quiles qualified second, while Joel Kelso completed the front row.
From a performance perspective, Veda appeared particularly competitive under braking and traction zones exiting Le Mans’ slower corners. However, he still lost time in the final sector compared to the leading riders.
Starting from sixth gives Veda an important opportunity to fight within the leading group during Sunday’s main race. The Indonesian rider currently sits sixth in the 2026 Moto3 riders’ standings with 28 points.
The 2026 French Moto3 race is scheduled for Sunday afternoon local time, with tyre degradation and changing weather conditions expected to become major factors at Le Mans.
