A prized piece of memorabilia from the premier American stock car racing scene is currently up for grabs in an exclusive charity auction capturing the attention of motorsport fans worldwide. According to Speedcafe, one lucky bidder will take home signed, race-worn gloves from Shane van Gisbergen’s dominant NASCAR Cup Series victory at Sonoma Raceway in 2025.
The three-time Supercars champion has truly evolved into a prominent household name within the NASCAR paddock ever since making his full-time competitive switch to the United States back in 2024. He has successfully cemented his reputation as the absolute top contender whenever the high-profile series visits demanding road course layouts.
The authentic gloves worn by the star driver on that memorable day will be personally autographed and professionally framed alongside stunning photographs capturing the intense action of the race and its joyful post-event celebrations. This professionally presented display is designed to provide its new owner with a genuine slice of racing history celebrating SVG’s remarkably successful transition from touring cars to the American stock car racing pinnacle.
"Sonoma was a fantastic weekend and a really important victory for our team, so these gloves come from a race that means a lot to me," van Gisbergen said regarding the special item. He further expressed his hopes that supporters would rally behind the auction to raise as much crucial funding as possible.
Event partner Lloyds Auctions has generously implemented a zero percent buyer’s premium policy to ensure that a full 100 percent of the proceeds are retained directly by Motorsport Ministries. The organization provides vital trackside care along with practical, emotional, and spiritual support to competitors, officials, racing crews, and families throughout the entire Australian motorsport community.
