The iconic classic aesthetic returns to the motorcycle racing paddock as Trackhouse Racing confirms a striking special appearance for the upcoming Asian rounds. The American squad is set to hit the track draped in the legendary light blue and orange colors to celebrate the 125th anniversary of the renowned oil company. This historical visual tribute draws direct inspiration from the glory days of the Ford GT40 which triumphed at the prestigious Le Mans 24 Hours in the late sixties, a design that previously captivated fans during the team's outings last season.
According to FormulaPassion, bringing back this 'Passion' livery is much more than just a visual gimmick for the Noale factory machine. The Aprilia RS-26 prototypes ridden by Ai Ogura and Raul Fernandez at both the Mandalika circuit and Sepang are intended to inject a fresh wave of positive energy into the garage. Sweet memories certainly remain fresh within the team, given that a similar color scheme previously witnessed Fernandez securing his breakthrough maiden premier class podium during a stellar sprint race performance last year.
Approaching the race weekend in Indonesia, Fernandez arrives with high alertness despite carrying deep emotional ties to the venue. The Spanish rider emphasized the necessity of relentless hard work while refusing to take anything for granted amid the fierce competition of the premier class. He noted that the Indonesian circuit possesses unique layout characteristics, particularly through the fast sequence of corners from turn five to ten where incredible speeds are consistently unlocked by top-tier riders.

On the other side of the garage, a completely different attitude toward tropical weather conditions comes from the Japanese rookie. Having missed out on appearing at Mandalika last year due to injury despite ultimately sealing the intermediate class crown, this weekend marks his highly anticipated premier class debut at the venue. He explained that he prefers not to overcomplicate his approach and simply wants to jump straight into action to understand how the machine behaves under extreme heat.
The fusion of automotive history, ongoing technical evolution from round to round, and the competitive drive of both riders ensures that this retro-styled Aprilia presence remains one of the most anticipated highlights of the modern racing calendar. Fans trackside will eagerly watch to see if the legendary colors can once again inspire peak performance on Asian soil.
