Amidst the intense pressure of the Interlagos circuit throughout the race distance, emotions ran high on the pit wall. Team Principal Toto Wolff shared his overwhelming joy immediately after the checkered flag brought a grueling weekend to a close.
"It is simply overwhelming!" Wolff exclaimed during his post-race interview. "We started this season extremely strong, and that early momentum gave us the crucial advantage we needed. The last few races have been a real challenge at times, and today's Grand Prix was also difficult, but overall it was enough and I am so proud of the entire organization."
The road back to the summit required immense resilience after years of battling performance deficits under recent technical regulations. Wolff noted that fighting back from such a prolonged tough period highlights the extraordinary caliber of the workforce behind the scenes, proving that perseverance ultimately pays off at the highest level of motorsport.
"It took us a few years to find our way back to the top," Wolff continued. "Not many teams manage to recover from such a situation, and it simply proves how magnificent the work is that this great team has delivered. It shows we have wonderful people in our organization, and it is just super to be part of this group."
Emphasizing team unity, Wolff pointed out that championship glory belongs to the thousands of factory employees rather than just the visible faces on television screens. Every department played an integral role in keeping the team competitive through a long and exhausting 2026 calendar.
"The drivers and I are always on TV and in the spotlight, but so many people worked hard for this success," Wolff added. "I always say that we don't just have two superstars on board as drivers, we have 2500 superstars. Everyone does a fantastic job and plays their part in such a success. And it makes me incredibly proud to be part of this organization."
