Toprak Razgatlioglu crossed the line in 17th place during the Japanese Grand Prix sprint. Despite the significant gap to the winner, the Turkish rider feels he made crucial progress in his premier class adaptation.
The Pramac Yamaha rider endured a tough afternoon at Motegi, including a late excursion through the gravel trap at Turn 1. Braking stability has proven to be his main hurdle throughout the weekend.
"Yesterday I felt too much locking on the brakes and today we improved the first part, but on the second we lost," Razgatlioglu explained. He noted that managing electronic limits remains a key learning curve.

Transitioning from production-based superbikes to a pure MotoGP prototype brings unique challenges. Yet, the data gathered during the sprint race provides a solid foundation for Sunday's main event.
"I learned something because now I understand it’s possible to manage the bike on the brakes," he added, looking ahead to a stronger performance in the feature race.
