Senna Agius has been officially confirmed as a Tech3 KTM rider for the 2027 MotoGP season. The Australian will partner Luca Marini, completing the 22-rider grid for the new 850cc era. The announcement marks the final piece of the silly season puzzle.
Agius's journey to the premier class has been methodical. He honed his skills in the European Moto2 Championship, finishing as runner-up in 2022 before clinching the title a year later. His World Championship debut came in 2024, and he has since established himself as one of the most promising talents in the intermediate class, with victories and podium finishes catching the eye of MotoGP teams.
Tech3's decision to sign Agius reflects a long-term vision. CEO Guenther Steiner praised the Australian's speed and maturity in Moto2, qualities that will be crucial with the introduction of the new 850cc machines. The blend of Marini's experience and Agius's fresh talent is seen as an ideal combination for rapid adaptation.

“Today a lifelong dream has come true: to reach MotoGP,” Agius said. He thanked Guenther Steiner and the entire Tech3 team for their trust. While acknowledging the challenge ahead, Agius expressed his readiness to learn, work hard, and continue improving with his new team.
For Tech3, this is a strategic move for the 850cc era. The French-based team aims to be competitive in the midfield, and Agius's arrival brings new energy and determination. It aligns with their philosophy of nurturing young talent.
With the grid now complete, the 2027 MotoGP season promises plenty of intrigue. Will Agius be the next surprise package? Only time will tell.
