Sebastien Ogier revealed he could expand his 2026 FIA World Rally Championship programme after winning WRC Greece 2026, a result that reignited his title challenge.

The Toyota Gazoo Racing driver moved into the rally lead on Sunday's opening stage after starting the day 4.1 seconds behind Thierry Neuville. The decisive moment came on the penultimate stage when Neuville suffered two punctures, allowing Ogier to establish a commanding advantage.

Despite starting the Power Stage with a comfortable lead, Ogier admitted he never felt completely safe until the final kilometres.

"I honestly never felt safe at any point. It was only over the final three or four kilometres that I thought if something happened now, it should still be manageable. With the number of rocks out there, you're under pressure all the way to the finish," Ogier said.

Ogier admitted he arrived in Greece under significant pressure after losing a potential victory in Portugal because of a puncture on the final day. As a result, the Acropolis Rally victory became a crucial boost for his championship campaign.

"After the disappointment in Portugal, I came here knowing we had to score big points. I'm very relieved that we managed to finish the job this time. Winning always feels great, but scoring maximum points feels even better because that's exactly what we needed to put ourselves back into the championship fight," he added.

The victory lifted Ogier to third in the championship standings, 33 points behind teammate Elfyn Evans. Although he is contesting only a partial campaign this season, the eight-time world champion confirmed that his programme is guaranteed through Rally Finland.

"I said at the beginning of the year that I would compete in plenty of rallies this season. My programme has been confirmed through Rally Finland, so I will definitely be there. I also think there's a very good chance I'll do even more rallies after that," Ogier revealed.
