After a near-perfect weekend at Silverstone, Aprilia Racing now sets its sights on Aragon. However, team boss Massimo Rivola is not getting carried away. He is fully aware that Aragon is one of Marc Marquez's favorite hunting grounds.
“We know the next race is Marc Marquez's territory, but we'll prepare as best we can to be competitive,” Rivola said, as reported by FormulaPassion. This statement comes after Aprilia made the most of their upgrade package in Britain, turning the three days in Northamptonshire into a springboard for recovery after a disappointing first half of the season.
At Silverstone, Aprilia looked dominant. The technical updates introduced proved effective, and with the track suiting their bike, they showcased their true potential. Yet, Rivola stressed that relying solely on favorable circuits is not enough to win a world championship. “It's a beautiful championship, with two Italian manufacturers battling fiercely for the final victory, featuring many riders. The fight will stay open until the last race,” he added.

For Rivola, Aragon will be a real test. The track has always been synonymous with Marquez's brilliance, who holds an impressive record there. However, Aprilia arrives with renewed confidence. “We can't be complacent. There are tracks where one bike is superior, and others where one rider or more have an edge over the rest,” Rivola explained.
This statement signals that Aprilia will not alter their fundamental approach. They will remain focused on bike development and teamwork, hoping to carry the Silverstone momentum forward. With the championship still tight at the top, every point counts.
Rivola also highlighted the importance of consistency. After a promising start to the season, a string of unfortunate incidents hindered their progress. Now, the goal is to maintain stable performance until the end. “We have to keep working hard, because our rivals are also evolving,” he concluded.
