Tension filled the air at the circuit as Raul Fernandez stunned the paddock with a sensational qualifying performance at the Mandalika circuit. Reported by Motorsport Week, the Trackhouse rider put on a masterclass to secure the premier class pole position for the first time in his career after five years of hard work in the championship.
The early qualifying session was immediately marked by high drama and chaotic crashes as riders pushed to find competitive lap times. Big names fell victim to the razor-thin margins, with Johann Zarco crashing on his very first flying effort before going down a second time in tandem with Jack Miller. Meanwhile, Ai Ogura and Enea Bastianini also suffered heavy crashes during the frantic 15-minute session.
As Q1 drew to a close, drama struck again when Diogo Moreira crashed near the end of the session, bringing out the yellow flags and disrupting the final flying laps. Despite the disruption, Fermin Aldeguer and Ai Ogura successfully managed to progress into the all-important pole position shootout.

Entering the Q2 shootout, Raul Fernandez executed a flawless strategy with perfect track position to unleash his maximum pace. He rocketed to the top of the timesheets with a stellar 1:28.852 lap time, maintaining his dominant position for the remainder of the session to clinch his maiden premier class pole.
Behind the polesitter, Marco Bezzecchi secured second place just 0.109s adrift, crucially standing as the only title contender to start from the front row. Fabio Di Giannantonio rounded out the front row in third place as the top Ducati representative for the Pertamina Enduro VR46 squad at their title sponsor's home event.
