Reigning Formula 1 world champion Lando Norris has confirmed a new documentary series with Prime Video. The project, working under the title Lando, is scheduled to premiere in 2027 and will offer an unprecedented look at the McLaren driver's life away from the track.
Production is handled by Box to Box Films, the company behind Netflix's hit series Formula 1: Drive to Survive. Filming is already underway as Norris battles to defend the title he won for the first time last season.
Unlike his popular LandoLOG videos or his appearances on Drive to Survive, this series promises to go much deeper. Norris says it will reveal parts of his life that have remained largely private, including time with friends and family, as well as the pressures of being one of F1's biggest names.
"I'm really excited to be doing this with Prime Video," Norris said. "I already share a lot of what I get up to, but this is going to give people more access than ever before to my life away from racing."
The series will also delve into Norris's upbringing, exploring aspects rarely visible during a race weekend. "It's going to be taking you well into depth about my life, about my whole life away from the racetrack," he added.
The announcement comes as F1's expansion into documentaries and streaming accelerates. Netflix confirmed this week that Drive to Survive will return for a ninth season, with Box to Box once again following the championship in 2026. The success of Drive to Survive since 2019 has been credited with bringing F1 to a younger and broader audience, and now several similar projects are in the pipeline.
On track, Norris is enjoying a resurgence, with two straight wins cutting into Kimi Antonelli's championship lead, though he still trails by 83 points. This comeback keeps his title defense alive as the season heads into its final stages.
