The Japanese Grand Prix weekend officially begins on Thursday, October 1, with the MotoGP GearUp session followed by the Pre-Event Press Conference. GearUp is scheduled for 13:30-14:00 local time, with the press conference taking place from 14:00-14:30.
Track action begins on Friday, October 2. Moto3, Moto2 and MotoGP will take part in their opening Free Practice sessions before moving into the main Practice sessions. MotoGP Practice is scheduled for 13:00-14:00 local time in Japan.
Saturday Sets the Grid and Sprint Race
Saturday, October 3 is one of the key days of the Japanese Grand Prix weekend. The riders will first complete their second Free Practice sessions before MotoGP moves into Qualifying 1 and Qualifying 2.
The action then continues with the Tissot Sprint. The MotoGP Sprint is scheduled to start at 13:00 local time in Japan and will run for 12 laps.
Japanese Grand Prix Takes Place on Sunday
The main event arrives on Sunday, October 4. MotoGP begins the day with Warm Up from 07:40-07:50, followed by the Rider Parade from 08:00-08:40 local time.
The Moto3 race starts at 09:00 over 17 laps, followed by the Moto2 race at 10:15 over 19 laps. The MotoGP Grand Prix then takes centre stage at 12:00 local time, with the premier-class race scheduled for 24 laps.
