MotoGP, Sportrik Media - Fabio di Giannantonio of VR46 Racing Team secured pole position for the MotoGP Brazil 2026 Grand Prix after setting a benchmark lap of 1:17.410 in Q2 at Goiania.
Di Giannantonio edged out Marco Bezzecchi by just 0.070 seconds, while Marc Marquez of Ducati Lenovo Team completed the front row, only 0.081 seconds off pole. The minimal time gaps highlighted the competitive balance among Ducati riders on the Brazilian circuit.
The second row features Fabio Quartararo from Monster Energy Yamaha MotoGP, alongside Jorge Martin of Aprilia Racing and rookie Ai Ogura, who continued to demonstrate strong one-lap pace.
On the third row, Fermin Aldeguer secured seventh position ahead of team-mate Alex Marquez, while Pedro Acosta of Red Bull KTM Factory Racing qualified ninth after earlier difficulties.
The fourth row is occupied by Johann Zarco, Francesco Bagnaia, and Toprak Razgatlioglu, with Bagnaia facing a challenging starting position in 11th following a disrupted qualifying session.
From Q1, Joan Mir led the group in 13th, followed by home rider Diogo Moreira in 14th. Franco Morbidelli and Raul Fernandez completed positions 15 and 16 respectively.
The remaining grid positions are filled by Alex Rins, Jack Miller, Luca Marini, Maverick Vinales, Brad Binder, and Enea Bastianini up to 22nd place.
With Ducati locking out key positions at the front and margins in Q2 measured in hundredths of a second, the start of the MotoGP Brazil 2026 Grand Prix is expected to be decisive. Launch performance, track positioning into Turn 1, and tyre management will be critical factors shaping the outcome of the race in Goiania.
