The signing of MotoGP’s new commercial agreement has finally cleared the path for official rider announcements ahead of the 2027 season. After months of delays caused by negotiations between manufacturers and the championship promoter, several deals believed to have been completed long ago are now expected to be made public.

So far, only Marco Bezzecchi has been officially confirmed as part of the 2027 factory rider line-up after extending his deal with Aprilia during pre-season testing. The rest of the grid has remained in limbo despite widespread expectations that most agreements were already finalized behind the scenes.

Speaking during the Czech Grand Prix weekend at Brno, Ducati Corse General Manager Gigi Dall'Igna suggested the wait for further announcements will not be much longer.

“In the next days. Coming soon. I don't know if it will be this weekend, but for sure in the next week,” Dall'Igna said.

With the commercial agreement now finalized, attention has shifted immediately to the rider market and the shape of the grid for MotoGP’s new 850cc and Pirelli era. Several manufacturers are understood to have completed their rider selections months ago but delayed announcements while negotiations over the championship’s future structure continued.

Ducati could be among the first manufacturers to reveal its plans by confirming a contract extension for reigning world champion Marc Marquez. Unlike some of the expected factory-to-factory transfers, such a deal would not require coordination with rival manufacturers, potentially allowing it to be announced earlier.

Several high-profile rider moves are expected to dominate headlines once announcements begin. Names frequently linked with major changes include Pedro Acosta, Pecco Bagnaia, Fabio Quartararo, and Jorge Martin, all of whom are expected to play significant roles in the next phase of MotoGP's evolution.

Independent team riders are also expected to feature prominently in the reshuffle, with several candidates reportedly moving into factory-backed seats. Those decisions will be crucial as manufacturers prepare for the technical challenges and opportunities presented by the 2027 regulations.

Now that all manufacturers have committed to MotoGP’s next five-year commercial cycle, the focus turns from boardroom negotiations to official announcements. The coming days are expected to provide the first clear picture of the rider line-ups that will shape MotoGP’s new era beginning in 2027.
