Marco Bezzecchi continues to lead the MotoGP World Championship following the Sprint Race at Brno, despite suffering a costly crash during Saturday’s contest. The Aprilia Racing rider remains at the top of the standings with 180 points after nine rounds of the 2026 season.
The Brno Sprint has further intensified the title battle. Team-mate Jorge Martin sits second in the championship on 165 points, reducing the deficit to just 15 points heading into Sunday’s Grand Prix. With a large portion of the season still remaining, the fight for the crown remains wide open.

Third place belongs to Fabio Di Giannantonio of the Pertamina Enduro VR46 Racing Team. The Italian rider has accumulated 144 points through consistent performances and remains firmly in contention for the championship as the campaign approaches its midpoint.

Pedro Acosta occupies fourth place with 132 points despite crashing out of the Sprint Race. Meanwhile, Sprint winner Marc Marquez continues to build momentum after his recent resurgence. The reigning world champion now has 115 points and has moved into fifth position in the standings.
One of the standout stories of the season remains Ai Ogura. The SuperFile Trackhouse MotoGP Team rider sits sixth overall with 114 points, just one point behind Marquez. Behind them, Sprint winner Francesco Bagnaia has climbed to 111 points and remains within striking distance of the leading group.
The battle in the midfield is also becoming increasingly competitive. Raul Fernandez remains eighth with 97 points, while Alex Marquez and Fermin Aldeguer complete the top ten with 67 and 66 points respectively. Several riders remain mathematically capable of moving up the order over the coming rounds.
With only 15 points separating the top two riders and multiple contenders still within range, Sunday’s Czech Grand Prix could prove pivotal in shaping the championship picture. The outcome at Brno has the potential to significantly alter the standings before MotoGP heads deeper into the European summer stretch of the 2026 campaign.
