The 2026 Moto3 world championship standings saw important changes following the French Grand Prix at Le Mans on Sunday (10/5/2026). Maximo Quiles further strengthened his position at the top of the standings after securing a dominant victory for Aspar Team.
The young Spanish rider delivered a highly controlled performance in difficult wet conditions and managed the race from the opening laps. The maximum points haul has now allowed Quiles to establish a more comfortable gap over his closest championship rivals in the Moto3 title fight.
Meanwhile, Adrian Fernandez continued his consistent form by finishing second for Leopard Racing. The result keeps Fernandez firmly inside the leading championship group after several competitive performances across different track conditions this season.

Another significant standings change came from Indonesian rider Veda Ega Pratama, who climbed further up the championship after finishing fourth at Le Mans for Honda Team Asia. Veda impressed with a strong recovery ride after dropping down the order during the opening lap before fighting back in challenging wet conditions.
The result moves Veda closer to the top five in the 2026 Moto3 standings. His recent consistency is beginning to highlight the rapid development of the Indonesian rider in one of the most competitive categories of grand prix motorcycle racing.
Several key championship contenders, however, lost important points at Le Mans following crashes and difficult track conditions. Multiple incidents involving front-running riders have further intensified the Moto3 championship battle heading into the next European rounds.
Alvaro Carpe, previously one of Quiles’ closest challengers, failed to maximise his weekend in France after crashing during the race. The result has started to create a larger points gap at the top of the standings after the opening five rounds of the season.
Beyond the riders’ championship, the Le Mans result also strengthened the ongoing battle between teams and manufacturers in Moto3 2026. Aspar Team and Leopard Racing continue to demonstrate strong consistency, while Honda Team Asia has shown growing competitiveness through Veda Ega’s performances.
The Moto3 season will next move to the Catalan Grand Prix at the Barcelona-Catalunya circuit on 15–17 May. With a significantly different track layout compared to Le Mans, another major shift in the championship standings could emerge in the next round.
