MotoGP, Sportrik Media - The Moto3 Brazil 2026 race at Goiania has been halted by Race Direction and will be resumed under a quick start procedure, with the race distance reduced to just five laps.
The decision followed an on-track incident that forced a red flag on lap 14. According to regulations, the restart grid will be determined based on the classification at the moment the race was stopped, making the lap 14 order the reference for the revised starting positions.
Indonesian rider Veda Pratama is set to start the restart from 10th position, matching his classification at the time of the stoppage. The shortened race format presents an opportunity for rapid position gains, with limited laps placing greater emphasis on старт execution and early track position.

At the front, the grid will be led by Maximo Quiles, with Adrian Fernandez starting second and Valentin Perrone completing the front row. The condensed race distance is expected to produce aggressive racing from the outset, given the absence of long-run strategy considerations.
Race Direction has confirmed that pit lane will open at 12:35 local time for 60 seconds under the quick start procedure, requiring all riders to proceed immediately to the grid without additional sessions or delays.
The race was also impacted by an incident involving Scott Ogden, who has been ruled out. The Medical Director confirmed that Ogden was transferred to the medical centre for evaluation following the crash.
With only five laps to decide the outcome, the restart places a premium on reaction time, positioning into the opening corners, and error-free execution. Moto3 Brazil 2026 now enters a decisive phase, where even minor incidents or overtakes could significantly alter the final classification.
