Manuel Gonzalez emerged as the fastest rider in the second free practice session (FP2) for the Moto2 class at MotorLand Aragon on Saturday morning. The LIQUI MOLY Dynavolt Intact GP rider clocked a 1:49.597, edging out Izan Guevara and Daniel Munoz. Meanwhile, the Dutch duo impressed: Collin Veijer finished fifth and Barry Baltus sixth.
The 30-minute session, held under sunny skies with a track temperature of 18 degrees, was immediately marked by an incident. Daniel Holgado crashed at Turn 9 early on, severely damaging his bike and forcing him to sit out the rest of the practice. This lost track time is a blow to his preparations for Sunday's race.
Alonso Lopez initially led the timesheets, but Munoz and Gonzalez soon took over. Gonzalez continued to push and ultimately locked in the top spot, signaling strong pace ahead of qualifying.

From the Dutch perspective, Collin Veijer started cautiously but gained momentum throughout the session. The Red Bull KTM Ajo rider broke into the top five with a 1:49.905, just 0.308 seconds off the pace. Zonta van den Goorbergh also showed significant improvement after a tough opening day, briefly running inside the top ten and eventually closing FP2 in eleventh.
Barry Baltus continued his consistent form, taking sixth place with a gap of 0.464 seconds. Given the tight margins—only 0.3 seconds separating second from fifth—qualifying promises to be fiercely competitive.
